It’s our 49th annual COWPIE celebration!! (
COWPIE, or the Committee Of Wyoming People In the East, is the Wyoming State’s Society signature event and brings the spirit of Wyoming to Washington. Originally created to allow Wyomingites in DC to celebrate together as friends and family were at Cheyenne Frontier Days. We now gather together in July, Wyoming’s birthday and the month of so many of our celebrations from Wyo Rodeo, to Jubilee Days, to Cheyenne Frontier Days, July is Wyoming’s month.
This year is even more of a celebration as we gather on Wyoming’s actual birthday, meanwhile the country celebrates America’s 250th birthday!
On Friday, July 10th, 2026, hundreds of Wyoming expats and Western enthusiasts will gather at Eastern Market’s North Hall, donning their finest boots, hats, and belt buckles for an evening of:
- Country dancing beneath twinkling lights
- Mechanical bull riding competitions
- Live Western entertainment
- Wyoming-inspired food and drinks
- Networking with fellow Wyomingites and Western advocates
