COWPIE (Committee of Wyoming People in the East) is the Wyoming State Society’s signature annual event, now celebrating its 48th year.

Originally created to give Wyoming transplants in DC a taste of home during Cheyenne Frontier Days, where guests don their best boots and buckles for a night of country dancing, mechanical bull riding, and western fun. With 250–400 attendees each year, COWPIE is a unique opportunity to connect with Wyomingites and showcase your support for the Cowboy State. We invite you to join us in celebrating Wyoming pride and community in the heart of Washington, DC.
